Case Worker (Full-Time Permanent)

Qualifications: Post-secondary school in social work, social justice, Indigenous studies, addictions, health related and/or a combination of pertinent experiences in these areas. Experiences with cultural activities and understanding of Indigenous concepts of care and support. Knowledge of disabilities, disorders and mental health issues.

Driver’s license and access to transportation.

 

Responsibilities:
The Caseworker provides direct support to address participant needs and ensures that all needs identified within support plans are met. This role includes providing guidance and training to Mentors, maintaining consistent communication with the team, and relaying information between Case Managers and Mentors. The Caseworker assists with coordinating community supports and completes duties assigned by the Case Manager to ensure program activities align with participant needs.

Additionally, the Caseworker will support participants with day-to-day needs and provide transportation to appointments such as doctor visits, EIA meetings, and other required services. This includes driving participants to and from various locations to support their engagement in programs and services.

 

 

 

 

 

Additional Requirements: Criminal Record Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, Access to a reliable vehicle. Applicants must have MPI 2 million-liability insurance.

Other Helpful Qualifications: NVCI, First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Knowledge of Vulnerable Persons Act, FASD Training

Hourly Wage: $25.28 – $29.60 per hour
